Vegetative propagation through vegetative micropropagation

Source material

Growth tissue from buds of approved plus trees.

Harvesting of winter cuttings

From mid-December to February, the winter cuttings are pruned to be stored temporarily and then processed further.

Sterilization and preparation.

Shoot pieces with terminal and lateral buds are sterilized; afterward, the bud scales are removed, and the growth tissue is carefully prepared.

Establishment

The explants are placed on a nutrient medium and further cultured.

Subculture and propagation.

After the shoots have sprouted, they are divided and placed back onto the nutrient medium.

Acclimatization and cultivation

After root formation, the seedlings are transferred from the controlled environment to soil, acclimatized, and then moved to the open field for further cultivation until they reach a suitable planting size.
